Welcome
The European Biosecurity Regulators Forum (EBRF) is a European workgroup with the purpose to strengthen European biosecurity. The EBRF provides a forum for the sharing of knowledge and experience with regard to current human, animal and plant pathogen biosecurity and dual-use issues.
In order to strengthen European biosecurity, the primary goals of EBRF are:
- To establish Points of Contact (PoC) for the development of a network of national regulatory agencies in Europe responsible for biosecurity in the fields of human, animal and plant pathogens;
- To promote capacity building for European countries that request biosecurity assistance. This could be in the form of sharing of best practices, publications, conferences and workshops, training and education;
- To exchange biosecurity knowledge including developments on dual-use issues;
- To guide the development of effective and proportionate biosecurity regulation in Europe.
